Cleaning

  1. Rotate the filter housing counterclockwise to detach the casing.
  2. Take out the filter cartridge for cleaning.
  3. When dealing with ceramic filters, make sure your hands are clean before using the provided nylon pad issued during installation to scrub the external filter cartridge under clean running water. (As depicted from the above image)
  4. For non-ceramic filters, use only clean hands to rub the exterior of the filters under clean running water.
  5. Before reattaching the casing to the base, inspect the inside of the base for any O-ring presence. The O-ring should be visibly attached to the casing, beneath the screw thread, and not within the base.
  6. Flush the filters with tap water for 5 minutes after cleaning to eliminate any harmless carbon particles from the system.

CAUTION• Avoid using soap, detergent, or harsh chemical cleaners as they can cause damage to the filtration system or get into your clean drinking water.

For the installation of new filters, keep in mind:

  1. After installation, run tap water through the filter for 5 minutes to eliminate any harmless carbon particles from the system.
